Object of the Game
To attain a hand with a value closer to 21 than the dealer’s hand without exceeding it. Note that we use a 6-deck shoe.

Blackjack Terms
To play your hand in Blackjack there are a number of terms used exclusively in this game that you should know. Remember that you are trying to build a hand as close to 21 without exceeding that limit.

Hit:
This is to request another card

Stand:
Stand is to be satisfied with your hand and refuse another card.

Double Down:
A Double Down bet lets you double your initial wager. The bet is placed after the first two cards are dealt. Only place a Double Down bet when you are reasonably sure you will only need one more card to win. To place a Double Down bet, click on the DOUBLE bar. Your bet will be placed automatically and you will be dealt one last card. Your hand will always consist of only three cards when Doubling Down.

Split:
If you are dealt two cards of identical value you can split them into two new hands of one card each by clicking on the SPLIT bar. Each hand would then be played out in turn. You may only split a hand once. The wager placed on each new hand will be equal to the original bet. You may double down on one or both of the new hands. When Aces are split only one card will be dealt to each hand. A split hand resulting in Blackjack pays out a ratio of 1-1 rather than the normal 3-2.

Insurance:
Insurance gives you a chance to protect yourself from the dealer’s Blackjack.

If the dealer’s card is an Ace, there is the possibility of a Blackjack. When this happens you will be asked whether you’d like to buy insurance. If you believe the dealer has Blackjack you can buy insurance to protect yourself. To insure yourself you must pay an amount equal to half your initial wager for that hand. If the dealer gets Blackjack, the insurance will pay 2-1, which equals your original bet. If you have insured yourself and the dealer does not obtain Blackjack, then you lose your insurance but retain your original wager.

TO BEGIN
Before receiving any cards, you must place a wager.

1.
Select $1, $5, $10, $25, or $100 chips by clicking the appropriate denomination at the bottom of your screen . Make sure your total wager is greater than the Minimum Bet for the table.

2.
After this selection, continue to place your bet by clicking within the player's circle. You may play up to 3 separate hands at a time.

3.
The minimum and maximum bet amounts apply to each individual hand - you can play 3 hands, each at the maximum bet level. The maximum bet refers to your initial bet ONLY because the total bet per hand may exceed the maximum bet due to Splitting or Doubling Down.

Note: To retract a bet, just right-click on the chips and your wager amount will be reduced by the amount of the selected chip.

LET’S PLAY
1.
If you are satisfied with your bet click on the DEAL bar to begin play.

2.
You are then dealt two cards face up. The dealer is also dealt two cards; one face up and the other face down. The dealer’s hole card remains face down until your hand is completed.

If you get a Blackjack (21) the payout is 3:2 rather than the regular 1:1
